Here is the same page in the wild down in Santa Cruz again. This shows a good way to enjoy a warm summer day.

The sport of Stand Up Paddling has been catching on around here. A few years ago we only saw one guy paddling along way out there. We thought he might just be an aquatic Santa Cruz loony. Now on some days there are several people standing on their big boards with a paddle in the water. It looks fun and is definitely good training for becoming a gondolier. I imagine the often overlooked occupation of gondolier will become more important as sea levels rise due to global warming. Here are a couple of pictures showing stand up paddling.
